Elementary school burglarized in South Shore: police

An elementary school in South Shore was burglarized four separate times in July and August.

In each incident, the offender was able to break into St. Philip Neri Catholic School, 2110 E. 72nd St., through a back window and take property from therein, Chicago police said in a community alert. In one case, tools were taken from a work truck.

The burglar first broke into the school between July 26 and 29, and then did so again Aug. 15, Aug. 16 and Aug. 21, police said. The burglaries happened at all times of day.
