
Maiko apprentices go through their final rehearsal Tuesday for the annual Onshukai dance event at the Kyoto Prefectural Center for Arts & Culture in Kyoto. Dances will be performed by the Kyomai Inoueryu school (the Inoue style of traditional Kyoto dance) in Gion Kobu, one of the traditional entertainment districts in Kyoto, including a dance to celebrate the start of the Reiwa era. The sold-out event will run from Thursday through Oct. 8. at the center.
