Electronics designer Ignys prepares for move to Nottingham Science Park

A Nottingham electronics design consultancy is set move to larger premises to help meet its ambitious growth plans.

Ignys, has outgrown its current office at the Innovation Centre, at Nottingham University, and will be taking new offices in the Isaac Newton Centre at Nottingham Science Park.

Since forming in July, 2017, the firm has grown rapidly. Over the last 18 months, the firm has expanded its team to eight people.

Richard Fletcher, managing director at Ignys, said the firm's plans for growth were ambitious but he expects to be increasing the team by at least 50% in the next 12 to 18 months.

He added that as a Beeston resident himself he likes to recruit locally whenever possible.

Half the team live in Nottingham, with the rest all within a few miles.

The new office gives the firm further room for growth, both in terms of the team and the range of services they can provide to electronics manufacturers and to entrepreneurs with an idea for a new product.
