Electric Picnic app will be ‘game changer’ for festival goers

The Electric Picnic app is set to be a “game changer” for festival goers heading to Stradbally next weekend.

The app is now available to download on your phone. It is free to use, and it’s going to be handy for picking your favourite acts, learning more about their music ahead of the festival, and finding your way around the site. You’ll even get useful phone reminders to rush to the stage before your heroes perform.

A girl called Roisin on TikTok explained the app in further depth, @.roisin said: “The Electric Picnic app is a holy grail. Everything isn’t on it yet but it literally has the entire lineup. You have discover, schedule, maps- even just to know where you’re going, the lineup just to have it on your phone is amazing.

“Then you can favourite artists like i want to go and see Arctic Monkeys. I want to go and see the Kooks. I’ll favourite them and it gives you a notification 15 minutes before the act is due to start. It’s also really helpful if there’s crossovers with people.”

One person commented: “Star, thanks a mil. See you there”, and another said: “This app is such a life saver”.

Festival goer Lisa McPhillips also told Dublin Live: “I’m so excited to use this. It’s going to be a game changer when it comes to planning who I want to see and what stage they’re performing on.

“I can’t wait to see Vogue Williams and Joanne McNally so I’ll definitely be using the app to find out where exactly I can see them and when. Plus it’ll be so helpful to find my way around - especially if there’s a few drinks involved.”
