Electric Picnic 2019: Missed out on tickets? You can get in for free as a volunteer!

As one of Ireland’s biggest music festival draws near, organisers for Electric Picnic are looking for volunteers.

If you didn’t manage to get your hands on a ticket, don’t fret, because you can attend the Stradbally festival for free as a volunteer.

Weekender volunteer roles include the following

-Assisting in general campsites, family campsites, boutique campsite, entrance gates, arena entrances, car parks, production areas, and the arenas.

-Roaming Information Stewards.

-Assisting festival goers with directions.

-Helping festival goers carry their belongings and pitch their tents.

-Answering questions about performances, line-ups and site facilities.

-Assisting with queue management, ticket / wristband check points.

-Helping direct vehicles at Production gates.

-To be helpful in emergency situations onsite – directing public to safe area etc

-To be the ‘eyes and ears’ of the Festival, reporting any problems e.g. faulty facilities, build-up of litter or any other potential hazards.

The work hours are three eight-hour shifts or four six-hour shifts over the course of the weekend.

Volunteers will be arriving onsite Thursday August 29 at 12 noon.

Eager applicants will have to be 18 years or over before the start of August 2019 and have to pay a refundable bond of €250 by the closing date.

Successful applicants will also have to bring adequate camping gear and  weather appropriate clothing.

And you will have the chance to enjoy the show when you’re off-shift.
