Welcome, everyone, to Guardian Unlimited's all-night (possibly all-the-next-day) coverage of the US presidential elections. There's a sense of excitement here in the GU offices - not to mention a certain tension.
After all, the last few days have seen us have to make an enormous choice - the kind of thing guaranteed to split any group of co-workers straight down the middle, even here at the Guardian. Traditionalism versus modernity. Conservative versus liberal. Pizza versus sushi.
Yes, the choice of food for our late night session here has caused a hell of a row. But I'm glad to say we found the third way - we're having both. And we're all agreed that, in these difficult times, coffee is a must.
But on with the coverage. Keep hitting refresh for the latest results, links all around the web discussing what's going on from a multitude of viewpoints, and maybe even some lively discussion with fellow readers in the comments fields. Plus a few lame jokes as the night goes on.
And if you want to drop me a note - and please do let me know what you're up to this election night - it's neil dot mcintosh at guardian dot co dot uk.
