It’s the closest election in decades … as we’ve been told by every single columnist, broadcast journalist and politician for the past few weeks. The polls have remained static, while the football team David Cameron supports has fluctuated.
We’ve had baby lambs, we’ve had ukeleles, we’ve had many, many slanging matches TV debates.
And now, the time has come. Polling stations are open, and soon – by which I mean probably weeks into the future when all of the tussling and votes of confidence have been tabled and at least one more Ukip party member has been suspended – we will have, at last, a new government.
Hallelujah. First though, we have to get through election night. There will be an exit poll at 10.15 and the first result could come in as early as 11pm. So whether you are watching on the BBC, Sky or Channel 4’s alternative take, we’ve created a little game for you to play along at home.
