An elderly woman has tragically died following a house fire in Dublin.
The woman, aged in her 90s, died overnight after the blaze broke out at the home on Swords Road, near Dublin Airport.
Emergency services rushed to the scene in Corballis, Cloghran at around 11.20pm on Monday.
A garda spokeswoman told the Irish Mirror that foul play is not suspected.
She said: "Gardaí and fire services attended a fatal house fire in Corballis, Cloghran Co Dublin on November 11, 2019 at approximately 11.20pm.
"A woman in her 90s, the sole occupant of the house was fatally injured in the fire and pronounced dead at the scene.
"A scene has been preserved for a technical examination."
Fire crews from three Dublin stations attended the scene of the serious house fire.
Dublin Fire Brigade tweeted: "Overnight firefighters from thee stations attended a serious house fire on the Swords Road. Crews from Swords, Finglas and Kilbarrack on scene."
Dublin Fire Brigade has been contacted for comment.
