An elderly woman was taken to hospital after a five-car smash in Kirkcaldy today.
Emergency services raced to Kirkcaldy High Street around 12pm today and the road remained closed for over two hours.
There are no reports of any other injuries from the accident and the woman was taken to hospital as a precaution.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said : "We received a report of five cars impacted in a crash on Kirkcaldy High Street around 11.50am this morning.
"Emergency services attended and an elderly woman was taken to hospital as a precaution. No reports of injuries.
"The road re-opened around 2.20pm."
