Elderly woman, 81, is latest victim of ‘horrible’ spaghetti TikTok prank

An elderly woman has become the latest victim of a "horrible" TikTok prank.

The 81-year-old discovered spaghetti hoops were strewn all over her doorstep on Friday night.

Social media users in Ireland told how the tinned food was scattered outside the woman's front door.

It is latest TikTok trend to “get spaghettioed” sees users throw tinned food on a doorstep before ringing the doorbell and running.

The 81-year-old mum returned home after her first night out in 16 months to discover what had happened.

She took to social media in Knocklyon, Dublin to share a photo of what happened, reports DublinLive.

The Facebook group's administrator wrote: “My nearly 82 year old mum came home last night after her first evening out in 16 months to this on her doorstep!

“What a horrible thing to do to someone.

“I’m just wondering if this happened to anyone else in the Templeroan area last night?”

Some users were not impressed by the practical joke and done wrote: “That’s dreadful, the lady is lucky she didn’t have a bad fall , I would say they would be very slippery!”

Another said: "I’m so sorry for that poor lady, what a disgraceful thing to do. It’s an idiotic trend on TikTok.”

A third commented: "Have you ever seen such hooliganism! Also Those hoops wasted like that and homeless people starving!

Other users said: “All of these incidents should be reported to Gardai, no matter how harmless they may seem.

"Gardai are unlikely to respond to one or two, but if they are getting several then something might be done about these little morons and their spaghetti hoops.”

“The anti-social behaviour is getting out of hand in the whole of Knocklyon, tearing around the place on their bikes causing havoc.”

Another joked: “Someone knows what happened- time to spill the beans.”

A further asked: "I can't see the label, were they Heinz or Bachelors? Could be the major break in the case.”
