Elderly Stapleford couple have jewellery and £300 taken in burglary

Precious items were stolen from an elderly couple's home including distinctive jewellery, bacon and chocolate.

The 'vulnerable' couple had a number of items of jewellery taken, including two gold watches, one silver pocket watch attached to a silver chain, a distinctive silver pocket watch with The Flying Scotsman engine on the watch cover, and four gold rings.

Also stolen was £300 in cash, bacon from the fridge and Snickers chocolate bars.

The incident took place on June 14, in the early hours in Moorbridge Lane, Stapleford.
