Elderly Perth man reported missing

An elderly Perth man has been reported missing.

Police officers are asking members of the public to help them trace 81-year-old James Yule, who was last seen at 4.15am this morning (Wednesday, November 27).

Officers say they are becoming increasingly concerned because James is vulnerable and has gone missing before.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland’s Tayside division said: “Police Scotland is seeking the assistance of the public in trying to trace an elderly man, last seen around 4.15am this morning (Wednesday, November 27) in Perth.

“James Yule (81) was last seen walking over Perth Bridge, heading towards an address in Connacher Court, Isla Road in the city.

“He failed to arrive at his home and was reported missing to the police.

“James is round five foot one inch in height and of slim build.

“He has white hair, a white beard and wears glasses.

“When last seen, he was wearing a green coloured coat and dark coloured trousers.

“Officers are reviewing CCTV footage from around the area for any sightings of James.

“We are becoming increasingly concerned for James as he is vulnerable and has gone missing before.

“Officers are now appealing for anyone who may have seen James, or who has any information or knowledge as to his whereabouts to contact them at Perth Police Station via 101, quoting incident number 0983 of November 27, 2019.”
