Elderly man rushed to hospital after car crash on busy West Lothian road

An elderly man has been rushed to hospital this morning after a car crash.

Emergency services rushed to the accident involving the man's car in Bathgate.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said officers arrived at the scene and only the pensioner's car was involved.

He was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. His condition is currently unknown.

The police spokesperson continued: "Around 8.45am on Friday, 7 October, 2022, officers were made aware of a single car crash on Whitburn Road, Bathgate.

"A 76-year-old man has been taken by ambulance to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh."
