Elderly man loses savings in computer company con

Police believe these two men could help them with their fraud investigation. (HANDOUT/NSW POLICE)

Fraudsters impersonating computer company workers have scammed an elderly man out of his savings as police hunt for those responsible.

NSW Police have released still from CCTV footage of two men they believe can assist investigators as they appeal for public help in tracking down the fraudsters.

The 81-year-old man was allegedly defrauded out of a large sum of money in January and police confirmed on Thursday the dollar amount was in the "tens of thousands".

He was contacted several times between January 25 and January 31 by people posing online and in person as employees of a computer company, investigators said.

His bank cards were also used at ATMs and stores around western and southwestern Sydney, including in Bankstown, Wetherill Park, Moorebank, Wentworthville and Merrylands.
