Police have confirmed that a man died after being hit by a bus near Porth town centre.
Officers said the despite the best efforts of emergency services and members of the public, the pedestrian – a 77-year-old man – died at the scene.
His family have been informed and are being supported by officers.
Police are continuing to investigate the crash that happened on Porth Road at 11.10am on Tuesday (April 20).
The collision involved a single-decker Stagecoach bus.
The road was closed for nearly seven hours as investigations at the scene were carried out.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or the moments prior to it, or anyone with dashcam, mobile phone or CCTV footage which could assist the investigation are asked to contact police, quoting occurrence 2100136623.
