Elderly man, 77, with dementia has gone missing and police have launched an urgent appeal to find him

Police have launched an urgent appeal for information after a 77-year-old man with dementia has gone missing.

Godfrey Furse was last seen in the Caewern area of Neath on Sunday, November 3.

Mr Furse is believed to be wearing a navy jumper, cream trousers and tan shoes.

His home address is in Baglan, but he was staying in Caewern at the time of his disappearance.

A South Wales Police spokeswoman said: "We are appealing for information on the whereabouts of 77-year-old Godfrey Furse who has been reported missing.

"Mr Furse has dementia and was last seen at 3.30pm."

Officers have carried out enquiries locally as well as checked CCTV in the area - but Mr Furse has still not been found.

South Wales Police is urging anyone who has seen Mr Furse, or has any information on his whereabouts to contact them on 101 quoting occurrence 406739.
