An elderly couple were reportedly left in tears after their car was smashed up by a gang of yobs during Mischief night.
Around 10 cars were believed to have been targeted on George Road, in Hoylake, on Friday night.
In Wallasey, a number of other cars were also damaged as gangs of youths caused trouble across Merseyside.
The couple were told the unfortunate news by a neighbour who condemned those involved.
Posting on a local Facebook group, the woman said: "Just been to Hoylake, George Road, and my car and at least nine other have had the windows smashed in."
"Nothing taken, just wanton vandalism.
"Had to knock and tell a man in his 80s that his back window had been smashed in, he was devastated.
"I felt so sorry for him. His wife was sobbing her heart out as if people don't have enough on their plate with covid.
"All you parents in Hoylake, I hope you all know where your kids are tonight, they should not even be congregating together."
Andrew Stant said that his car and a number of his neighbour's cars in Wallasey were also smashed up by thugs in the area.
He told the ECHO: "I was working from home and a neighbour called to say my car windscreen had been smashed.

"I didn't hear anything but there were others broken as well.
"And some in adjoining streets. They were letting off fireworks too."
A number of dispersal zones are in place across Merseyside tonight giving police the power to move on anyone in the area they believe could be involved in criminal or antisocial behaviour.
Incidents have also been reported across the water in Liverpool with youths reportedly throwing fireworks at passing cars and police officers.
