The Elden Ring movie has wrapped filming, though it won't be arriving until 2028.
That's according to a now-inaccessible Instagram post from crew maker Sean Schofield, who, per Polygon, shared a picture of what seems to be a thank you message signed by director Alex Garland and some of the film's producers, along with a wrap gift.
"Dream job to end all dream jobs," Schofield captioned the post. "6 solid months of blood, sweat and tears making the coolest stuff ever, working alongside the best of the best. Can't share anything else for a very long time, but I couldn't be more proud of what we did."
The Elden Ring movie is slated for release on March 3, 2028, so we have a while longer to wait yet.
Kit Connor, Ben Whishaw, and Cailee Spaeny will star, though plot details are non-existent at the moment. George R.R. Martin, who developed the game's lore, is on board as a producer.
"Here’s the latest about the ELDER RING [sic] movie that was announced a few days ago," Martin wrote on his Not a Blog page in June 2025. "A24 is a kickass studio, and Alex Garland is a first rate director."
Garland has also proved his gaming credentials, too. "Love Shadow Of The Erdtree," he previously shared in an AMA. "I'm on ng+6 currently. Don't even want to think about the hours I've clocked up. Can't seem to stop playing. Still discovering stuff."
