In order to get to Leyndell, Royal Capital in Elden Ring, you’ll need to find the exact point where you’re allowed to access it, and have at least two Great Runes, with one of them manually activated. Great Runes are typically obtained by beating a main boss, but you have to activate them manually. The capital city will be blocked off until you do.
The activation process is not immediate and requires you to head to a specific point on the map, which changes each time based on the Great Rune and the boss from which you obtained it.
