Supporters are being urged to slap on the sun cream and make sure they drink plenty of water in between beers.

Meanwhile, back home, the good news is that it's expected to be dry for most of the day with sunny spells.

Forecasters predict it to be partially cloudy with highs of 20C.

During kick off, it's expected to be 19C in Liverpool with a 21% chance of rain.

Even at 4am Liverpool will see temperatures only slightly dip to 16C

In the event of a victory parade, supporters back home could be dancing in the rain.

There's a 60% chance of light showers in Liverpool city centre on Sunday with highs of 19C and lows of 14C.

There is expected to be sunny spells with a fresh breeze and a sunny end to the evening from 7pm.

Forecasters are saying fans in Liverpool can expect balmy temperatures with a mixture of clouds and sunshine on the big day itself.

Met Office forecaster Simon Partridge said: "Saturday will be rather cloudy but dry, with temperatures sneaking into the lower 20s.

"This is certainly on the warm side and above average as the usual temperature for this time of year is 16 to 17C.

"It will stay bright well into the evening."
