After last week’s splash of colour, this week I’m going Monochrome.
This look can sometimes completely change how the picture comes across and is perceived.
There will be occasions when I am editing and something just isn’t quite right with the feel of the photo.
A quick convert to black and white and within seconds the image is much more striking.
With other photos at the moment I take them I just know they are going to come across a lot more powerful in black and white, so I don’t have any editing issues with those.
Here are a few examples of my recent favourites.
A couple of which were intended to be in colour but the monochrome look just gave it something different, something special.
As a general rule I like to shoot or edit old buildings in this style, but in a way almost everything suits this look.
