An East Kilbride man said to have been the victim of a murder bid has been sentenced on charges of domestic abuse and police assault.
Scott Brown, 35, of Gordon Drive, appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court this week, having missed a previous hearing.
His lawyer said last month he was unfit to attend court as he had sustained serious injuries in an attack.
Brown appeared on two charges of threatening or abusive behaviour - one of which involved a domestic situation - and two of police assault.
Sheriff Moira MacKenzie told him: “Having read a background report, I am minded to follow its recommendation and place you on a community back order.”
Brown will be under supervision for two years and must attend a domestic abuse programme.
