Eisen: Patricia donated a very sizeable check to St. Jude via #RunRichRun

During Saturday’s broadcast of the 2019 NFL Combine, Rich Eisen recognized that Detroit Lions coach Matt Patricia stopped by the booth and donated “a very sizeable check” to St. Jude Children’s Hospital as part of the Eisen’s #RunRichRun effort to raise awareness for children’s cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

Patricia declined to be on television, opting to go back about his business but Eisen and the NFL broadcast team found him talking to Houston Texans coach Bill O’Brien, put him on camera, and Eisen did a voice-over talking about the donation.

#RunRichRun has become a fundraising juggernaut, raising money every year for St. Jude.

“Since 2004,” the NFL said in a media release, “Eisen’s dashing display of athletic prowess in a suit, tie and Under Armour cleats has served as a fitting conclusion to the annual event that gives viewers a look at the next generation of NFL talent alongside team personnel. ‘Run Rich Run’ has been embraced by NFL fans, players and team personnel, providing a charitable opportunity to support the lifesaving mission of St. Jude: Finding Cures. Saving Children®.”

Eisen’s 40-yard dash will air on Monday, March 4, on NFL Network’s final day of coverage of the 2019 NFL Combine.
