Eir are aware of the various issues that their customers are experiencing around Ireland and the telecommunications company are working on a fix.
Earlier this morning, thousands of customers around Ireland experienced network issues across landlines as well as mobile.
In a statement, Eir said: "We are aware some customers are having intermittent issues with voice calls. Our teams are aware of the issue and are working on a resolution at the moment. Thank you for your patience."
In terms of particular issues, one customer said that their landline phone wasn't working and that their broadband dropped for a few minutes.
A Dublin-based customer asked online: "Is there an outage on the network regarding calls both inbound and outbound? I am having issues all morning and has not connected a single call."
Eir's customer service team provided a bit more insight when they said: "We have an issue impacting 3G and 4G service, we are trying our best to resolve this issue as quickly as possible, thank you for your patience and understanding at this time."
When asked to provide a potential timeframe that the issue will be resolved by, an online customer service agent for Eir was vague and said: "Unfortunately there is no timeframe as of yet, we are working hard to get this resolved as soon as possible. We do apologise."
