Eintracht Frankfurt name their price for Sebastien Haller and tell West Ham how they must pay it

Eintracht Frankfurt are demanding more than €40million plus add-ons for West Ham to sign striker Sebastien Haller, football.london understands.

The Germans are also asking West Ham to pay in installments, as expected, but not the usual ones over the course of a contract. Frankfurt want the Hammers to pay money up front and a next installments within six months.

Haller has started to come around to the idea of joining West Ham despite initially being reluctant to do so as he wanted to play Champions League football.

However, West Ham can offer him much bigger wages than he is currently on in Frankfurt.

Insiders close to the deal have told football.london they rate their chances of closing a deal for Haller at better than 50/50 as the club continues to search for a striker having missed out on number one target Maxi Gomez.

Co-chairman David Sullivan is taking an active role in negotiating with Haller and Frankfurt while director of football Mario Husillos is in China but is being kept very much in the loop.

Haller struck 15 goals for Frankfurt last season as they reached the Europa League semi final before being dumped out by eventual winners Chelsea on penalties.
