Police have arrested a 23-year-old man in connection with a shooting in Bestwood Park.
The man is the eighth to be arrested by officers in connection with an incident in Hazel Hill Crescent, Bestwood Park, on Thursday, May 23.
One man was arrested in Western Boulevard by armed officers on Tuesday, May 28 and three more were arrested after a search was carried out at a property in Wyton Close, Bestwood.
The following day a total of seven people were in custody in connection with the incident.
The eighth man to be arrested is being questioned on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
Detectives have now been granted extra time by magistrates to continue questioning four of the arrested men, aged 37, 29, 25 and 23.
The other three, aged 24, 23 and 22, who were arrested yesterday (May 29) are also still being questioned.
