Eight units of Dublin Fire Brigade battle huge late night blaze at Temple Street

Eight units of the fire brigade were tasked to tackle a huge fire in Dublin city centre on Tuesday night.

Five fire engines and three specialist appliances attended a garage fire in Temple Street.

The incident, caught on camera by a Twitter user, shows the brave firefighters battling the blaze, Dublin Live reports.

It was a busy evening for Dublin Fire Brigade as they were called to two other massive fires around the capital.

Firefighters from Blanchardstown fought a blaze in a garden shed at the rear of an unoccupied house in Hartstown.

DFB said in a tweet: "Sheds can contain cylinders, paint cans and aerosols making fighting the fire more dangerous.

"They can be built beside other sheds or properties and can spread easily."

As well as this, Firefighters and paramedics from Phibsborough attended a "two car jingle jangle outside the Auld Triangle pub on Dorset Street".

One person was treated on the scene and transported to hospital as a result.
