Eight things every Dublin person will say at least once during Storm Dennis

Unlike the rest of Ireland, Dublin people do not lose the run of themselves during bad weather, well most of the time.

Storms are a whole other ball game to Dubliners' usual moaning about the bad Irish weather.

From Storm Desmond to the Beast from the East, these storms bring weather so bad that Dublin people almost have to mentally block it out once it ends.

But then, it comes around a few months later and catches them off guard again. Every. Single. Time.

And when it hits yous by surprise, and it will, here's some of the things you'll hear Dubliners say:

'I hope my washing isn’t out'

We wanted a great day for drying, not this.

'What's the chances of a red warning?'

Wouldn't mind a day off work...

'It’s not that bad'

"Storm? That's just a bit of wind" or "you call that bad? Back in my day."

'There's no way I am going out there today'

Netflix, ON.

'The roads are going to be TREACHEROUS'

Teresa Mannion, that word is your fault.

'I can't actually feel [insert any body part]'

Brrrrrr.

'The sound of it is quite relaxing actually'

Some people find the sound of the howling wind and rain battering ferociously against their window soothing.

Other people will call those people maniacs.

It's a day for the pub'

Finally. We were just waiting for someone to say it. Pint?
