Eight puppies stolen from Scots farm reunited with mum

A litter of Scots newborn puppies stolen through the night have been reunited with their mother.

Eight border collie pups were swiped from an East Lothian farm between 8pm on Friday and 5am on Saturday.

The adorable pooches were only five weeks old and due to their young age had still to be chipped.

Police launched an investigation and were able to find all eight pups.

Officers say they are following a positive line of enquiry over the cruel theft.

East Lothian Police shared the good news as well as a sweet photo of the babies reunited with their mother.

A spokesperson from East Lothian Police said: "Extensive enquiries were conducted by officers from Haddington Police Station who successfully traced the whereabouts of all eight puppies who were quickly reunited with their mother.

"All of the puppies were unharmed and officers have a positive line of enquiry with regards the theft.

"Pictured are the team reuniting the pups with their mother."
