EIGHT people have suffered burns after a Central Coast boat fire.
Emergency services were called to a marina off Dangar Road at Brooklyn about 5.10pm on Sunday after reports of a blaze.
Firefighters, paramedics and police attended the scene, where the boat was destroyed as the flames were quenched.
"Eight people reportedly suffered varying burns," NSW Police said in a statement.
"They are being treated by paramedics and transported to Royal North Shore, Westmead and Gosford hospitals."
Fire and Rescue NSW said its crews were tasked with driving an ambulance to allow paramedics to treat the burns en route to hospital.
Hazardous materials firefighters have been working to contain a fuel leak after the wreckage of the boat sank in shallow water.

Separately, the Westpac rescue helicopter was called into action after a man, 70, became stuck with his wife at the bottom of Catherine Hill Bay cliffs about 2.20pm on Sunday.
"The helicopter was able to land on a rock shelf nearby and reposition the gentleman and lady back to an oval to awaiting NSW Ambulance paramedics after the helicopter Critical Care Medical Team checked them out with no injuries reported," a Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service spokesman said.
