Eight more people have died after contracting coronavirus in Bristol and its neighbouring areas, according to the latest figures.
Public Health England data released on Monday (January 11) shows another 793 people have tested positive for the virus in the West of England area.
Two Covid deaths were confirmed in Bristol, where 318 positive lab tests were returned.
Our city's Covid rate per 100,000 people has soared to 475 from 110 a month ago.
North Somerset recorded four more deaths today, with the district's infections increasing by 163.
Two further deaths were reported in South Gloucestershire, where 177 new cases were confirmed.

Public Health England's latest data - for January 5 - shows Bristol's hospitals have 275 Covid patients, rising from 252 confirmed on December 30.

UK cases
The UK's coronavirus death toll has risen by 529 as the number of cases fell to just over 46,000 in the latest daily figures.
Health Secretary Matt Hancock told a Downing Street briefing that a further 46,169 cases have been confirmed - the lowest figure for two weeks.
This may offer a glimmer of hope that the third Covid lockdown is starting to cut infections.
