EIGHT men have been arrested and £1.3 million worth of cannabis seized by police in Aberdeen.
Eight cannabis cultivations were discovered on Monday as officers executed 11 warrants across the city.
Police said cannabis, with an estimated street value of more than £1,370,000, was recovered.
Eight men, aged between 24 and 54, were arrested and charged following the operation.
The men were due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Tuesday and Wednesday.
“This was a significant recovery which highlights our commitment to tackling the supply and distribution of illegal substances on our streets,” Detective Inspector Andy Machray, of Police Scotland, said.
“Drugs cause misery and we continue to work alongside our partners, including Aberdeen City Council, to remove them from our communities.
“Information from the public is vital. We would ask anyone with information or concerns about drugs in the community or a property in their area, possibly being used for this purpose, to contact us.”
Machray continued: “We would also urge landlords in the private rental sector to make sure they carry out thorough checks on prospective tenants. Be particularly aware of tenants who are willing to pay in cash and make regular checks on your property.”
Police said Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.
