Eight lanes of an M56 slip road were closed in the early hours of this morning after a car spun out of control near the airport.
Police were called at 1.25am on Sunday to reports of a collision involving a blue Honda Accord at junction 5.
Greater Manchester Police traffic officers and North West Motorway Police attended the scene.

The eastbound slip road remained closed while emergency services dealt with the incident.
Police say they have not received reports that anyone was injured.
No arrests have been made.
The road has since reopened.
