Eight fun things to do across Scotland this autumn

So the summer may be on its way out but, thankfully, the arrival of autumn does have some benefits. First, the month of September is usually filled with sunny, dry days – and no we don't know why this is the case either but it is.

It also sees the leaves begin to turn to a range of colours including burnt orange, vibrant reds and shimmering golds, meaning getting outside (in cosy clothing of course) has an extra dimension of fun.

And with Halloween on its way too, there are plenty of fun activities and things to do, to look forward to over the months of September and October.

Here are all the fun things to do across Scotland this autumn.

Taking place on October 31, the Samhuinn Fire Festival is a modern re-imagining of an ancient Celtic Festival that takes place annually in the capital.
