Eight Bulldogs have met with Falcons in Pre-Draft Visits

The Atlanta Falcons are holding their local day today, so naturally there are a lot of Georgia Bulldogs in attendance. A lot of Bulldogs have met with the Falcons so far, but pre-draft meetings don’t necessarily mean a team will draft a player. It’s a way teams indicate interest, get more information on a prospect, or try to make a smoke screen for teams drafting around them.

It’s not shocking the Falcons have interest in Hardman considering he fits into their plan of drafting a wide receiver every year. LB Natrez Patrick, OLB D’Andre Walker and WR Riley Ridley are all also in attendance per the Falcoholic and D. Orlando Ledbetter of the AJC. Ridley also met with the Falcons at the NFL Combine.

These UGA prospects join TE Isaac Nauta (NFL Combine), OL Lamont Gaillard (East/West Shrine Game), and WR Terry Godwin (East/West Shrine Game) as Dawgs who have met with the Falcons.

The Falcons rarely draft UGA products, but there’s hope once again this season. Mecole Hardman could fill in the Falcons’ need at kick returner, while providing a deep threat that stretches the field and helps open up the running game.
