Egyptian President Appoints Ambassador to Qatar

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi has appointed an ambassador to Qatar, the official gazette said on Wednesday.

A veteran diplomat, Amr el-Sherbini previously served as a general ambassador at the Egyptian foreign ministry, read the announcement.

On Monday, Qatari Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani received the credentials of the new Saudi Ambassador to Doha, Prince Mansour bin Khalid bin Farhan.
