Egyptian blogger faces libel action

Egyptian blogger Tamer Mabrouk is facing a libel case, which begins tomorrow, for posting photographs on his website showing the alleged dumping of chemical waste in the Suez Canal and in a lake at Port Said. The action has been launched by a company called Trust Chemicals. Two human rights groups, the Mosawah Association, and the Arabic Network for Human Rights Information have condemned the action.
