The official figures in Egypt have shown an increase in coronavirus cases and a decline in deaths.
Egypt’s Health Ministry reported 929 new coronavirus cases on Monday, bringing the total to 338,414 since the outbreak of the pandemic.
The ministry added in its daily coronavirus briefing that 54 new deaths related to Covid-19 complications were recorded in the past 24 hours nationwide, raising the toll to 19,130.
Recoveries have risen to 283,747.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Interior continued its campaigns to monitor the violators of the precautionary and preventive measures imposed by the government.
A total of 9,050 violations, such failure to wear a face mask, were reported.
