
Egypt on Friday delivered medical assistance to Burundi.
A statement released Friday by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry said Egyptian Ambassador to Burundi Yasser Al-Atwi expressed Egypt’s support to the medical sector in the country in line with President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi’s directives.
Atwi delivered a shipment to Permanent Secretary of Burundi’s Foreign Ministry, Ferdinand Bashikako, and the directors of the Military Hospital and the National Police Hospital in the country.
The medical aid is offered by the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development to help hospitals in Burundi.
Burundian officials expressed appreciation to Egypt’s support to enhance and improve bilateral relations between the two countries.
