Egg XI for Easter: Sergio Egguero leads our cracking line-up

Cometh the hour, cometh the eggs.

It's Easter Sunday, day three of the four-day Bank Holiday full of chocolate and a stunning weekend of sunshine to look at from inside your house.

So, with the weather taunting you, allow us to entertain with our holiday-themed starting XI.

Every team needs a strong presence nestled between the sticks, so step forward Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Steggen. Good start.

Rolling back the years, Liverpool pair Jamie Carregger and Egg Inge Bjornebye - yikes - are our full-backs, with Carregger's mate Daniel Egger partnering Antonio Rudegger at centre-back.

A cracking midfield sees Egger Davids - sure! - line up between Stefan Eggenburg and Andres Inieggsta. The forward line is no yoke as Odion Egghalo and Sergio Egguero are supported by Eggil Ostenstad.

Don't forget the manager, Gary Meggson. His hard(-boiled) approach will perfectly suit our selection. After all, you can't make an omelette without... oh.
