It is hip-hop week for Game of Thrones, as Snoop Dogg explains his debt to the HBO show. “I watch it for historical reasons,” he tells an interviewer, “to try to understand what this world was based on before I got here. To wit, Jay Z may have obtained a replica dragon’s egg. “Apparently Jay Z bought one for Beyoncé,” she tells Harper’s Bazaar.
If so, this immediately becomes LiS’s favourite outlandish celebrity purchasing story since Nicolas Cage outbid Leonardo DiCaprio for a hooky T rex skull. In fact, it surpasses the latter, given that the dinosaur remains eventually ended up the property of the US Internal Revenue Service. Whether a dragon egg will now be incorporated into the sigil of the House Z remains to be seen – but when I know more, so will you.
