From egg hunts to arts and crafts, there’s plenty of egg-citing Easter events taking place around the country.
We’ve taken the hassle out of entertaining your little ones with cracking, cheap family days out.
DUBLIN
Hatch a plan to go to Croke Park this Easter break where you can enjoy taking part in an eggstra special Easter egg Hunt. Ticket prices also includes a guided tour of the stadium, a chocolate egg and a visit to the GAA Museum from April 18 to 22.
Join Cadbury in Merrion Square on April 19 and 20 for an egg hunt in support of Barnardos. Every eggsplorer will receive a Cadbury easter egg.
Bring the little ones to the free Mad Hatters Tea Party in Deerpark, Mount Merrion on Easter Sunday. There will be an Easter trail from 1pm to 5pm with lots of free goodies to find.
GALWAY
Brigit’s Garden will host their annual family egg hunt on April 21 and 22 from 1pm.
Galway City Museum is free to visit and have regular events and workshops throughout the year. This Easter break you can enjoy a guided tour entitled “Bring your own questions.”. It takes place on April 20 from 12pm to 1pm and if free and suitable for ages 8+.
Marina Levitina will run a free native Irish wildflowers and trees workshop on April 24 from 11.30am to 1pm for children aged seven to 12.
WICKLOW
The hunt for renewable energy is on this Easter at Cool Planet.
Kids will love this Easter workshop where their challenge is to design and make their very own solar-powered Bunny-BOT.
The workshops run twice daily from April 15 to April 26 inclusive, at 11am and 1pm. Suitable for children aged between seven and 14. Tickets €20 per child.

KILDARE
The Irish National Stud and Gardens have daily family activities running over the Easter Break from April 19 to 22.
There will be pony rides, face painting, magic shows, craft workshops and a petting zoo. Children can visit the playground, discover fairies and folklore on the fairy trail and meet the new baby foals with a guided tour of the stud and gardens included in the ticket price.
WATERFORD
For a fun family day out this Easter weekend, visit the Waterford and Suir Valley Railway to meet the Easter Bunny on April 20 and April 22.

Belvedere House will host its annual Easter Egg Hunts Treasure Trail where families can meet Mr & Mrs Bunny and join in games. The event runs from April 20 to 22.
OFFALY
Nature lovers will love Birr Castle’s Easter Family Quest which is an alternative to the traditional egg Hunt from April 13 to 18.
MEATH
Mellowes Adventure Centre have a host of holiday activities.
Tayto Park will hold an egg hunt on Easter Sunday, April 21. Kids can help Mr Tayto break the secret code and find the stash of chocolate eggs.
Starting in the zoo, make your way around Tayto Park’s Easter hunt trail solving clues and secret messages until the mystery is unlocked!
After the egg hunt has been solved, why not get involved in Easter themed arts and crafts and enjoy complimentary face painting throughout the park.
For the younger ones, head to the Eagles Nest and enjoy The Grand Carousel, The Lady Bird Loop and The Nissan Driving School among other attractions all the while keeping an eye out for fairies in the woods!

LOUTH
There’s a full timetable of Easter Fun at Newgrange Farm in Drogheda with colouring competitions, family quiz, prizes, sheep stakes and calf feeding.
The event runs from April 20 to 22.
MONAGHAN
The Monaghan County Museum have Easter cupcake decorating classes with Samantha Hawe from Cottontail Cafe on April 16 and 17.
ROSCOMMON
Head to Lough Key Forest and Activity Park where kids can enjoy flower arranging, craft classes and science workshops. It also boasts an adventure play kingdom, a tree canopy trail, zipit forest adventures and electric bike trails.
At Strokestown Park with their Easter Egg Hunts which are self-guided mega or mini trails around the Victorian walled garden and woodland walk.
Families will search through the clues in the nooks and crannies of the garden and woodlands to receive the chocolate egg treasure. Be sure to visit the spring lambs too from April 17 to April 21.
MAYO
Join Pinkie the Rabbit for the annual Easter Egg Hunt at Westport House and Gardens on Easter Sunday.
DONEGAL
Inishowen, Carndonagh, will host its Annual Easter Parade on Easter Monday, April 22.
SLIGO
Pop Up Theatre Sligo brings you Chicago at the Hawkswell Theatre from April 17 to April 20. And from April 22 to 24 Sligo Feis Ceoil is on.
LEITRIM
Tullyboy Farm host its annual Easter Eggstravaganza on Easter Saturday, Sunday and Monday with ram racing, tug-o-war, animal shows and an Easter Egg Hunt for hundreds of hidden eggs.

Hop on board the Rathwood Easter Express, to join the Easter bunny and his friends for an adventure through the fun-filled forest. It runs from April 13 to 28.

Johnstown Castle are having their annual Easter Egg Hunts from April 13 to 22. The cost is €4 per trail which can be paid on the day.
KILKENNY
The Nore Valley Park Easter Egg Hunt is one of their longest-running annual events – and definitely the most popular. Event takes between April 13 and 19.
TIPPERARY
The Source Arts Centre have Sean and Conor Price in concert on Thursday April 18 and Lyngo Theatre presents Egg and Spoon a show for those aged up to five years on April 26.
KERRY
Kerry County Museum has an Easter Arts and Crafts Camp and have family workshops running on April 13, 20 and 27.
