eFootball Season Update 5.0.0 is available today featuring gameplay tweaks, customizable stadium options, enhanced visuals, new manager skills and plenty of other improvements and additions.
The latest update puts a bigger emphasis on movement speed and defensive controls, aiming to make matches feel more true to life. Player acceleration and top speed have been fine-tuned so that each player’s pace feels more authentic with speedsters standing out even more and fast breaks playing out at a more realistic tempo.
AI players will now spend less time constantly sprinting and move at a steadier 70 percent pace to better match real-game flow. Dribbling has also been smoothed out, making it easier to glide past defenders and setting the stage for more one-on-one moments.
Defending has seen its share of improvements as well. New sliding tackle animations let defenders spring back to their feet and launch a counterattack more quickly. Stepping movements have been refined for better positioning, while the Match-up command now triggers smarter, better-timed tackles. Whether blocking a run, applying pressure or making a last-ditch challenge, these changes give players more ways to shut down attacks and win back possession.

Controls
- Fixed the issue where, after losing the ball, players could win it back immediately by making a sliding tackle, standing tackle or shoulder charge. It is no longer possible to carry out such commands directly after losing possession.
- Fixed the issue where, when using the Pressure command while no player has possession of the ball, that command stops working temporarily.
- Fixed the issue where, after entering a shooting command during a direct free kick, Off the Ball Controls commands are carried out.
- Made corrections to alleviate the problem where, when attempting a one-two pass, the cursor switches in unintended ways.
- Made adjustments so that when the cursor automatically switches to a defender or a potential defender is selected, the cursor will likely move to a player in a position where it is easier to challenge the opponent, depending on the situation.
Fouls
- Fixed the issue where a player makes a sliding tackle with excessive contact and it clearly seems like a foul, but no foul is called.
- Fixed the issue where a player in an offside position becomes involved in the play immediately after the ball goes to an opponent, but no offsides is called.
- Made corrections to alleviate the problem where a player makes contact and it clearly seems like a foul, but no foul is called.
Cutscenes
- Added new motions to the reactions of players while the ball is not in play, giving them more realistic movements.
Smart Assist
- Made adjustments so that, during a Stunning Shot, the gauge level is affected by skills owned by that player. This will make it easier for players to put their skills to use.
Other Gameplay Enhancements
- Made changes to cancel the display of UI information shown at the feet of players applying pressure after an opponent enters the Call for Pressure command during an online match.
- A variety of other adjustments have been made to improve the overall match experience.
General Fixes Applied to Mitigate or Eliminate the Bugs Shown Below
- The border colour on the back of the Player Cards from “POTS: Trendyol Süper Lig” (available from 12/06/2025) is not displayed correctly. *This is a display-only issue and has no effects on the player’s ability.
- Users whose highest ever Division in eFootball League is Division 1 have received a message at the start of the new phase stating that their rating will not change.

The mobile version's graphics have been significantly updated, with more realistic player models when using the "High" setting!
