The EFL and League Managers Association have reached out to one and other and held peace talks ahead of the Championship restarting next week.
A number of managers in the Championship have hit out over the last few weeks over the EFL’s plans to restart the season on June 20.
Sheffield Wednesday boss Gary Monk said the plans were "inadequate", while Preston chief Alex Neil claimed the EFL had not consulted with managers before putting the revised schedule together.
"Not only that, I would like to find out who the EFL have actually consulted when they made that decision because our club certainly wasn't spoken to,” he told talkSPORT.
"And having spoken to some other managers, their club wasn't spoken to either.
"You would have thought they would consult clubs because ultimately it is the players who will have to play all those games."
That led to reports that the LMA were set to deliver a vote of no confidence in the EFL following a number of complaints from club bosses.
However, according to a new report from Sportsmail, EFL reached out to the LMA at the start of the week in a move which should help defuse tensions.
The report goes on to add that the LMA now wants to maintain regular direct contact with the EFL to ensure managers are kept constantly updated.
The Championship season will resume on Saturday, June 20, with live coverage on Sky of Brentford’s London derby against Fulham.
That game will be followed by title-chasing West Brom taking on Birmingham City in the 3pm televised slot.
A day later and Leeds United will kick-off their campaign when they travel to tackle Cardiff City.
