Efe Obada earned top PFF grade for Panthers defense Week 5

Efe Obada is the man of the hour for the Panthers as they visit his native London for this coming weekend’s game against the Buccaneers.

Obada is already on a roll. According to Pro Football Focus, he earned the highest grade (90.9) of any player on Carolina’s defense for their win over the Jaguars last week.

Obada only played 21 snaps on defense but he did make an impact, finishing with one tackle and one pass breakup.

For the season, the highest-graded Panthers defender is naturally Luke Kuechly, who has a 84.7 rating. Shaq Thompson ranks second at 82.5. On offense, things are a bit top-heavy. Christian McCaffrey has an elite 90.8 grade, but the next-highest grade is D.J. Moore’s 72.8.
