Eels confident in quick recovery for Moses

Parramatta coach Brad Arthur is confident Mitchell Moses will be cleared to play Wests Tigers in the Easter Monday NRL blockbuster despite suffering a head knock.

Moses caught a knee to the head after attempting to put a low hit on Cronulla's Jack Williams in the Eels' win over the Sharks on Saturday.

The star half-back wobbled and was soon taken from the field before failing an HIA.

But with nine days until the Eels play the Tigers, Moses will have every chance to pass the league's strict concussion protocols to take the field.

"He's fine. He wanted to come back out but he was is in no condition to obviously," Arthur said.

The inclusion of their playmaker will be a huge boost for the Eels who are looking to protect an unbeaten start to the season after Saturday's 28-4 win.

Without Moses steering the ship, the Eels were up by just six points at half-time but showed patience until the floodgates opened with three tries in the final 10 minutes.

The Sharks had no substitutes on the bench in the second half but Arthur said he was pleased the Eels didn't overplay their hand looking to exploit it.

"I just like the fact that we were patient, we didn't lose our cool," he said.

"I've talked to the boys about being a touch more professional, and at times last year we'd panic or try and pull the trigger on every play.

"But I felt like we were way more professional at the back end of the game."
