पत्रकार राणा अय्यूब को जान से मारने की धमकी मामले में मुंबई पुलिस ने अज्ञात लोगों के खिलाफ एफआईआर दर्ज की है. पुलिस ने यह केस पत्रकार की शिकायत पर दर्ज किया है.
एनडीटीवी की खबर के मुताबिक, राणा अय्यूब की शिकायत पर पश्चिम क्षेत्र के साइबर पुलिस थाने में भारतीय दंड संहिता (आईपीसी) की धारा 354-ए (यौन उत्पीड़न) सहित विभिन्न धाराओं और सूचना प्रौद्योगिकी अधिनियम के तहत केस दर्ज किया.
केस दर्ज होने की सूचना खुद राणा अय्यूब ने ट्वीट कर दी. उन्होंने लिखा, “मुंबई पुलिस ने मेरे खिलाफ फर्जी खबरें फैलाने, ट्वीट से छेड़छाड़ करने, हत्या और बलात्कार की धमकी देने वालों के खिलाफ प्राथमिकी दर्ज की है.”

इससे पहले अय्यूब ने 25 जनवरी को ट्वीट किया था कि उनके बारे में 26,000 से अधिक अपमानजनक ट्वीट किए गए. राणा ने दावा किया कि अधिकांश ट्वीट ‘भारतीय दक्षिणपंथी’ और ‘सऊदी राष्ट्रवादियों’ के थे. यमन के सर्मथन में ट्वीट किए जाने के बाद मेरे खिलाफ यह ट्वीट किए जा रहे हैं.
