EE customers will see a rise in their bills from today - here’s why

Many millions of EE customers across the UK will see a price rise on their next bill.

The price hike, according to EE, is in line with the Retail Price Index (RPI) rate of inflation.

“We’re making some changes to the price of your mobile plan,” an email to EE customers states.

“We know price changes are never welcome, but it means we can continue to invest in our network and deliver the best possible experience.”

Customers who agree to the terms and conditions of a contract have no legal recourse to these changes - and, furthermore, the increases are only minimal, says the provider.

From today, March 30, bills will go up 2.2% - which equates, on average, to an increase of between £7.80 and £27.48 a year depending on your current contract.

You can find out what these changes mean to you by logging into your “My EE account” here. Alternatively, you can log into your account through your EE mobile app.

Elsewhere in the shop, a number of deals are available to existing customers - many with giveaways including a Series 5 Apple Watch, an iPad Pro 11 or a 4GEE WiFi hub.
