Edward Colston statue listed on Ebay for 99p

The Edward Colston statue has been listed on Ebay and it has already attracted one bid of 99p.

The statue currently sits at the bottom of the harbour but this hasn't stopped one funny person listing the statue on Ebay as a joke.

The item is listed as "infamous Edward Colston statue I pulled out of Bristol harbour last night" and is described as being in a "used" condition.

It does not look like the statue is worth much to many people as the first bidder has only put in an offer of 99p.

If you are willing to bid on the fake statue postage costs £3.10 to addresses in the United Kingdom and you can expect the fake statue to arrive between Thursday, June 25 and Monday, June 29.

The time left to bid on the item is nine days and six hours.

Mysteriously, the seller's location is in Cambridge, 174-miles away from where the actual statue currently lies at the bottom of the harbour.

Bristol City Council have been contacted for comment.
