PUNE: Educationists said the thrust on digitisation in the Union Budget 2022-23 would help train teachers to improve hybrid learning outcomes especially since students have faced huge learning gaps due to the pandemic.

Experts said the provision of enhanced learning aids through the PM e-Vidya scheme would give a new impetus to strengthen the school education system.

Principal director of Symbiosis Society, Vidya Ye ravdekar, said, “ There is a lot of emphasis on digital this time. One class, one TV channel programme of PM e VIDYA will be expanded from 12 to 200 TV channels.

This will enable all states to provide supplementary education in regional languages for Stds I to XII. Digital universities can be functional optimally only when the connectivity and bandwidth to rural areas is optimum. ”
